Xsensio

Xsensio operates at the intersection of wearable medical devices, health diagnostics, biosensors, and predictive analytics. Its differentiation is the Lab-on-Skin™ architecture: rather than limiting wearables to physical signals such as motion or heart rate, the platform is designed to measure biochemical information continuously from interstitial fluid. The technology combines microfluidics, nanoelectronics, FET-based sensing, and biochemical application libraries, with an emphasis on clinically relevant validation. This gives Xsensio a more specialized position than general-purpose consumer wearable companies, but also places it in a technically and regulatorily demanding segment. Xsensio’s closest competitive frame is the emerging market for continuous biochemical monitoring and remote patient monitoring, where clinical evidence, sensor stability, manufacturability, and integration into care workflows are likely to matter as much as raw sensing performance. The Texas Instruments collaboration may strengthen the manufacturing and miniaturization side of that proposition, while the company’s nine granted patents indicate an established intellectual-property base.

Xsensio’s growth path shows a progression from early grants and seed capital toward a larger commercial and clinical development round. The company was founded in 2017 and received grant support in 2017 and 2018, followed by a $1.5 million Pre-Seed round in July 2018 and $501,002 in debt financing in February 2019. A further $1.89 million grant in March 2020 and an undisclosed Seed round in April 2020 supported continued platform development. The $5.5 million Seed round announced on Dec 17, 2022 marked a substantial financing step, bringing in the European Innovation Council, Mayo Clinic Ventures, and Privilège Ventures. The next inflection point was the $7 million Series A on Mar 2, 2026, led by WI Harper Group. That financing was linked to clinical deployment and a manufacturing-oriented collaboration with Texas Instruments, suggesting a shift from technology development toward scale-up and application validation.
