Summary
As a Senior Electrical Engineer Engineer, you will contribute to electrical architecture, circuit design, and system-level integration for our active implantable device. You bring solid experience in implantable device electronics and enjoy working across the boundary between hardware, firmware, and software, from design and verification through regulatory support.

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Electrical & Circuit Design: Design and characterize analog/mixed-signal circuits for implantable device applications, including simulation, statistical validation, and manufacturing test development.
  • Systems Integration: Support electrical and systems architecture across implant and external hardware (e.g., wireless communication, charging, programming interfaces).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Mechanical Engineering, Firmware/Software, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to deliver an integrated system.
  • V&V & Regulatory Support: Author subsystem-level requirements, execute verification and validation testing, and support FDA regulatory submissions in compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1/-1-2, and IEC 62304.
  • Reliability & Manufacturing Readiness: Support DFM/DFA efforts and manufacturing test development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's a plus).
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with experience in Class III active implantable medical devices strongly preferred
  • Solid analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience (simulation, characterization, statistical validation)
  • Experience with the full product development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with tools such as LTspice, oscilloscope/multimeter/impedance analyzer, or relevant simulation/modeling software
  • Familiarity with FDA regulatory pathways and standards including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, and IEC 62304 a plus
  • Comfortable working across hardware/software/systems boundaries and collaborating with cross-functional device teams

Salary

$175,000—$230,000 USD
